Volunteer With Us

WELCOME!

Volunteers help to create the exceptional experience that LALFF has to offer. We are dedicated to the mission to make a change that helps people and that makes an impact to transform Hollywood. Our volunteers not only walk away with new skills they can use outside of the festival but also a memorable time like no other. 

 

Ready to get involved?  We are looking for reliable, hard working, positive team members who can volunteer for at least one 6-hour shift during the festival. Various opportunities below.

 

TO VOLUNTEER:

  • You must be at least 18 years old

  • Attend our volunteer orientation/training (Core and Festival Volunteers)

  • Attend a training remotely (Pre-fest Volunteers)

 

PERKS INCLUDE:

  • Two (2) LALFF Day Passes Valid for screenings + workshop events + panel on a space-available basis.

  • Festival Swag (pending)

  • Recognition on "The Festival Team" Page (Core Volunteers who volunteer before October 15th)

Volunteer Levels

These volunteers help remotely in various facets of the pre-production of the festival's (such as Social Media).

(minimum 5-10 hrs/week)

 

Core Event Team

This team helps to facilitate the components of the festival's event planning remotely and day of are on site to implement the components.

(minimum 3 to 10 hrs/week)

 

These volunteers sign up for shifts of work during the festival only.

Conduct

You are an ambassador and the face of L.A. Live Film Festival to the public. As a volunteer you are expected to:

  • Treat all patrons, filmmakers, artists, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect and courtesy.

  • Conduct yourself in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Do not consume alcohol or drugs before or at the festival.

  • Commit to showing up on time and working through your entire shift.

  • Dressing appropriately and professionally when representing the festival.

  • Keep all information you handle confidential.

 

YOU CAN EXPECT THE FOLLOWING FROM OUR STAFF:

  • Respect, courtesy, and clarity of training and expectations. 

  • Appreciation for your efforts. (We love to do this one!)

  • Willingness to address your concerns and answer your questions.

  • A safe fun work environment.
